To maximize efficiency, the converter operates in PWM mode with a nominal • 95% Converter Efficiency switching frequency of 1.4MHz and automatically • 20µA Operating Quiescent Current enters Power Save Mode operation at light load • 2.5V to 5.5V Input Voltage Range currents. When used in distributed power supplies and point of load regulation, the device allows voltage • Power Save Mode tracking to other voltage rails and tolerates output • Two Level Short Circuit Protection capacitors up to 150µF and beyond. Using the DCS- • 100% Duty Cycle for Lowest Dropout Control™ topology, the device achieves excellent • Output Discharge Function load transient performance and accurate output voltage regulation. • Adjustable Soft Startup • Output Voltage Tracking The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft startup pin, which allows operation as either a • 0.8V to VIN Adjustable Output Voltage standalone power supply or in tracking configurations. • 3mm x 3mm 16-Pin VQFN Package Power sequencing is also possible by configuring the EN and PG pins.
